KAGAN CLARK GRAPHIC DESIGN

From Active Duty to Artist
As a midwestern kid I always thought my only way to follow my passions was to be an engineer. All through High School I took classes that sat me down on design software and I built parts that met tolerances and weight requirements for one project after another.
When I left High School I joined the Marines with the goal of a GI Bill to pay for college four years into my future. On active duty I grew in unimaginable ways, learning to teach in and out of a classroom, to lead physically and mentally, and to find joy and inspiration in the most unlikely of places, but I always kept my goal of college in mind.
When I returned home and enrolled in an engineering program I quickly realized that the design aspect is what I loved the most. So I left my midwest small town and headed back west. This time I settled in Bozeman, Montana and found my way into MSU's Design program. Now I get to know clients and their goals and let my creative side lead me to imaginative solutions for their design and marketing needs.
